Hatfield Art In Clay visit with Rachel. I’ve always wanted to go to Hatfield and this was the year. I knew that my favourite ceramacist was going to be there and was looking forward to meeting him. I wasn’t sure what to expect; whether the exhibitors would be in the house or marquees, It was the later. It was a warm day and we thought we would have a quick lunch then crack on. I had said over lunch that I wouldn’t spend ages looking but it was so hard! I wanted to soak it all up. Rachel just smiled, she knew!
This was the this was the entrance we used. Very quaint!
So into the 1st marquee….
This artist had made her pieces so realistic. I was facinated by the mixed media (zips and eyelets) The plinths were the appropriate size for each piece. the black cloth on the table seemed to pull it all together because the writing on the banner was also black with a white background. The boots looked like they had been polished up and ready to wear.
